Skada Damage Meter

Damage mode

Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes. It is inspired mainly by Assessment, but also by Recount.

Skada sports segmented fights and detailed views, while being highly efficient with memory. This is accomplished by aggregating data on fight segments.

Skada is entirely modular. The built-in modes can all be toggled on/off.

Features:

  • Automatic mode switching when entering combat. For example, you can have Threat mode be shown in combat. Skada can switch back after combat ends.
  • Specific fight segments can be kept indefinately.
  • Multiple windows. Each window can be configured fully.
  • Threat mode can warn on high threat.
  • Modes: Damage done, DPS, Threat, Enemy damage done, Enemy damage taken, Healing, Overhealing, Total healing, Absorbs estimated, Damage taken, Dispels, Mana regen, Debuff uptimes, and more.
  • Reports can be done everywhere. For example, you can report a certain player's Debuff uptimes.
  • Summary information for most modes (DPS, HPS, Fails, etc) in a LDB view/minimap button.
  • LDB data feed can show personal/raid DPS or personal threat.
  • Support for SharedMedia and Class Colors.

Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many "plug-in" addons out there that add functionality, such as:

There is a page with API information here.

Usage:

Navigation in Skada is done by "drilling down" to the information you want. You go to a lower level, showing more detailed information, by clicking on it, and you go to a higher level by right-clicking.

The top level is the list of all saved fight segments. The second level is the list of all available data modes, such as Damage Done. The third level is one of these modes. Most modes let you drill down for further details. Some modes have several detailed views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.

You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.

Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

New Skada windows can be created from the configuration screen. Each window can be separately configured. A popular feature is "Mode switching", which lets Skada automatically switch to a specific mode on entering combat.

There is a forum thread for discussion on Skada.

No, there is no pull aggro bar currently. Please note that by default Skada shows scaled threat, meaning you pull aggro at 100%, regardless if you are ranged or not. There is an option to enable Omen's behaviour.

I may have missed this feature the last time I played with Skada.  On the threat module, is there a line for the percentage needed to pull aggro?  In Omen, it shows up something like this in the bars:

    Pull Aggro     130%
    ----------------------------
    Tank/Pet       100%
    ----------------------------
    Player             60%

This is probably the only reason I have stuck with Omen - I can see that line and know my boundary on the meter.  Otherwise, I love the notion of the switch from DPS to threat in combat and vice versa.  Keep up the good work.

    zhTW.lua miss 2 line

    L["Show menu button"] = "顯示選單按鈕"

L["Shows a button for opening the menu in the window title bar."] = "在視窗標題條上顯示一個按鈕以開啟選單。"

I like the new menu on the bar in r246 but the menu goes off the screen sometimes.

Sorry for another post, i forgot about the deaths view: is there any chance to add a second mode that does simply count the deaths and doesn't show the last few deaths in order? Also totems count seem to fill up my deaths-view …

Also it would be great to be able to see statistics for all data, boss data, defeated bosses data, trash data instead of just be able to see everything or only bosses. i do know trash is essentialy worthless but still it is interesting …

I am a happy user of Skada Damage Meter. Thanks for the great addon. I'd love to see EnsidiaFails-Integration, as their ulduar-fails are much more elaborated than Failbot, any chance on that one?

Question: I have Skada normally minimized to a data broker (Fortress). However, the window keeps popping up every time I zone in and out of anywhere, or enter any instance. Is there any way to disable the popping up automatically?

I also have a question on the Absorbs display:

if u shield yourself as a Disc Priest and let a mob hit you, nothing was reported in the Absorbs display, even though the combat log shows lots of absorb events.
