Inspired by the venerable FuBar_MoneyFu, Scrooge is a complete re-implementation from scratch in the Ace3 / LibDataBroker world. It retains the most popular attributes of MoneyFu, while adding new features and polishing the interface.
Notable features:
- Tracks money across all your characters, showing total wealth in the tooltip.
- Option to show or hide opposing faction characters on the same realm.
- Ability to track a personal guild bank (i.e. bank alt guild) and consider its gold as a part of your wealth.
- Tracks cash flow and shows total profit/loss over several time periods.
- Option to show cash flow on a per-character, per-realm, or account-wide basis.
Important: Scrooge requires an LDB-based display addon, such as DockingStation, Bazooka, ChocolateBar, StatBlock, etc.

Zidomo Jan 03, 2011 at 21:54 UTC - 0 likesFrom the days of the FuBar precursor to this mod, I initially had the same concerns about money mailed between alts.
But once you pick up the cash on the alt, your totals don't change at all except "This Session" totals. Unless you prefer seeing per-character totals only on each character, which reduces the utility of the mod.
Overall I don't see it as a major issue; no other currency mod has ever added such detection.

I've thought about the whole mailing to alts situation quite a bit during the development of Scrooge. The same thing happens with deposits to a personal guild bank. Unfortunately there's no foolproof method to detect that, especially with mail. I may try to add some heuristics at some point, but they'll definitely be an experimental option as I can't see a way to make it 100% reliable.

Subxero Nov 13, 2010 at 14:57 UTC - 0 likesHi Thelibrarian,
Work with Button Bin also :) Great work!
-Can add a simple view tootltip, and with key pressed like shift toggle to show more information.
- Gold movements between alters (by mail) can be ignored ? Because Gained/Spent gets "big numbers" without make nothing.
BR ;)

thelibrarian Nov 13, 2010 at 01:38 UTC - 0 likesThe issue with it not including the current player's money in the total was a bug that didn't show up until I fixed another bug. It should be corrected in the latest alpha now :)

AzagathothTDM Nov 12, 2010 at 23:36 UTC - 0 likesGreat addon. Simple, money, that's it, no badges or other crap everyone seems to be adding lately. Only question I have, Is it possible to include the current toon's gold in the total amount? I can't seem to get it set up to show all toons, including the one i'm on, in the total amount of gold.
