9 - Synchronise DB with other raid members using SavedInstances
Once SavedInstances starts to save alot of additional information for each instance ID, it would be advantageous for users to be able to synchronise this information automatically (optional).
SavedInstances can check for other people whenever raid membership changes (might want to bucket this and perform synchronisations in bulk?). Or users might have the option to manually trigger this function.

jokeyrhyme Sun, 23 Aug 2009 02:48:18Thinking about this some more, this could get really yucky cross-locale. So I think the best idea is just to put a manual button somewhere. When grouped, the user can press the button and it will show them what instances are in other people's DBs and if they'd like them to be copied across.
There could be a new Synchronise section in the options, and when the button is clicked, a new frame with the list of instances can appear with confirmation buttons.

jokeyrhyme Fri, 14 Aug 2009 00:48:56The spirit of this ticket has changed.
It will specifically deal with synchronising the permanent (non-lockout) information about each instance between players. When players are grouped they will automatically share their instance information including name, expansion and raid. Existing information will never be overwritten.
