RaidInfo

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

RaidInfo is an addon to help you keep track of which characters are locked to specific instances. Although I'm aware that there are already many addons that accomplish this, I only wanted something simple to accomplish a simple checking task.

This addon features no GUI elements and instead is run entirely from a slash command. However, it was designed so that you will not have to memorize any sort of format, you simply just type /ri [search terms] and it will try to understand what you typed and search accordingly.

Features:

  • Built in acronym support (i.e., type "/ri voa" for "Vault of Archavon")
  • Accepts full or partial search (i.e., type "/ri icecr" for "Icecrown Citadel")
  • Use numbers to specify instance size or "n" for normal or "h" for heroic (i.e., "/ri voa 25" searches for "Vault of Archavon (25 player)" only)
  • Allows you to search by character, instance, size, or difficulty on it's own (i.e., "/ri 5h" shows all characters locked to 5 man heroics)
  • You can type any parts in any order (i.e., "/ri h 25 chira" shows all heroic 25 instances Chira is locked to)
  • Full coloring support for the output for easier reading

Notes:

  • Aside from 5 man heroics, the only raid instance which falls under the "Heroic" category is Trial of the Crusader. Since Icecrown Citadel is heroic on a per-boss basis, it is simply labeled as Normal
  • While I have enabled localization on most of the project, it is something I am not very experienced with, and so some of the nuances that work well in the enUS version may not be as accurate in other languages. I will do my best to make it work, but feedback will be the only way to verify entirely.
