Quest Item Bag

Quest item is intended to solve the problem of where on earth did the item I just got for the quest go to in my bags. If you play "hunt your bags" for quest items this is the addon for you.

The idea is that you get what looks like an extra bag (it cant actually give you extra bag space sorry) but that only shows your quest items. If you open this bag you will only see quest items or items that begin a quest. This way you have only a single location to look in to view all the items you need for a quest. You need never again have to open your normal bags to hunt for quest items.

I plan to add features like warning you if you put quest items in the bank, showing quest items in the bag that are in the bank. Colour coding your bag items to highlight quest items, and any other useful feature in line with the goal of the addon that users suggest.

Use /qi show or /qi open to display the bag. Or use the FuBar plugin to click to open it.

Sorry defintely not, I can't think of anything more annoying that pressing ESC to close other windows and this one disappearing as well. I could make it an option but a default - definitely not. Post a ticket to add it to the to do list please, if you still think its a good idea.

Was just wondering if you could set an ESC closure to the window. Irritating to hit Esc every time and it still doesn't close. Since I cant remember that, would you fix my memory leak...? Definitely a good addon, luv it as is, but would appreciate a standard window closure capability.

Does this Addon tell me what quest an Item is for, I always lose track of that and have to scan through my quest log and bags to make sure, 1) I have not completed the quest or 2) dropped the quest; in either case I don't need the item and should sell/drop it.

Thank you for this great addon! Any chance to get this sleek little view back? I really prefer it over the new one (which is much bigger)

It was a week that passed, not posting every day, dude. Was not "hassling". I fixed it on this end after the release of the revision with the problem, so whether you fixed it or not was not a concern for my use. Was alerting so other users/testers could be aware and you could hopefully fix it for them. And I just reposted about the issue in case you missed it in the subsequent updates done that week/you were on another machine with different browser caching/etc..

    Good luck.

You are right I should drop playing the game and pay attention to you as you are more deserving of my time than my own enjoyment of the game. Get a life.

Thanks for reporting the issue but seriously hassling someone who provides an addon as a freebie to the community is just plain annoying.

A week later, same issue as previously reported (in r30).

Posted a ticket earlier, but there have been two revisions since then with the same problem, so posting it here.

r22 (also present in r20, the original ticket), USEng server/client. In the "QuestItemFu" folder, the TOC is misnamed as "FuBar_QuestItemFu.toc". Logon with the files extracted as-is, WoW does not find the TOC and QuestItemFu does not appear in the Addons frame.

The TOC file needs to be the same name as the folder its in for WoW to be able to find it and load the mod (i.e. change the file name to QuestItemFu.toc).
