I use Mapster, and I have used Cartographer in the past, and both of those simply extend the basic Blizzard functionality, which means every addon will continue to work.
As far as making this work with Carbonite, I can't say it's worth it. For one, there is already a valid workaround. More importantly though, after I took a brief look, the code for their addon is vaguely obfuscated in a way that trying to develop to make our addons work together would be an inordinate amount of work.

Myth024 Sep 17, 2011 at 17:14 UTC - 0 likesOf course carbonite replaces the world map lol. There are other map add-ons that do the same and I don't know too many people that still use the original game maps. I'm sure there is a way to adapt the program to correctly utilize any world map there is, I just don't know what it is, or, for that matter, how much a pain in the butt it would be. So, I guess we could call this a challenge hehe. Or maybe move the ticked to an enhancement. :)
