Introduction

Prescription_Pickup is an agent addon that works with Prescription to give raid leaders a complete picture about their raid's consumable status. Rx_Pickup works by being installed on the raider's computers and waiting for a specific request from Prescription. Once that request is received Rx_Pickup quickly scans the raider's weapons and sends back that information to Prescription. Please note that only the person checking consumables needs Prescription, the rest of the raid just needs Rx_Pickup if you desire the weapon buff knowledge.

• Install this like a regular addon, you *do not* need Prescription installed for this to work
• When the checker in your raid runs the Prescription check Rx_P receives a small message and responds quickly with another small message
• Prescription handles all of this itself, no setup required

Why not use inspection?

Other addons that check consumables don't require an agent to check weapon buffs. These addons use the built-in inspection feature provided by Blizzard. However in my guild's experience the range limitation of inspection has caused issues with false positives on weapon buffs. That is why I opted for the client/agent approach. My guild and I desired consistent results and this system provides that.
