PassLoot

4 - Invert option for any criteria

What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?

In the new instances, I want to roll d/e or greed on everything that I cannot use as a DK. This means that I have to make a rule that looks like this:

Zone:
Pit of Saron, Hall of Reflections, Forge of Souls
Bind on:
Pickup
Quality:
Epic
Armor Type:
Cloth
Leather
Mail
Item Type/Sub Type:
Staff
Dagger
Thrown
Gun
Bow
List goes on....

AND one that looks like this for old instances:

Zone:
ToC
Nexus
Utgarde Keep
Utgarde Pinnacle
List goes on forever....
Quality:
Rare
Epic
Bind on:
Pickup

It would be much easier, imo, to have a an invert option for any criteria, since I don't necessarily want to greed/need on the things I can equip, because they might not be better. Then I could have a greed or d/e rule that looks like this:

Zone:
PoS, HoR, FoS
Bind on:
Pickup
Quality:
Epic
Armor Type:
* Plate (the "*" would denote an inverted value - which would mean if the item is NOT <criteria> [plate in this case] roll d/e or greed, if it is <criteria>, do nothing because it doesn't match the criteria)
Item Type/Sub Type:
* One Hand Sword
* Two Hand Mace
* One Hand Mace
* Two Hand Sword

And conversely my other rule for older instances could look like this:

Zone:
* PoS, * FoS, * HoR
Quality:
Rare
Epic
Bind on:
Pickup

Which would roll greed or d/e on all rare or epics in all instances EXCEPT PoS, FoS, and HoR.

This way setting up the rules could be much faster for some rules, such as my example above. It would also make making a rule like the one incorrectly listed on the front page for rolling a certain way on all items EXCEPT when in such-and-such zone easier, because rather than specifically listing all the zones you WANT to roll in, you can list the zones you don't.

Please provide any additional information below.

    I think I have the logic figured out..

    (Armor OR Weapon) AND NOT (Plate OR 1hd Mace..etc)

    I believe would work.. I just need to figure out the best way to add the exception options to the rules database.
