Floating Combat Text of awesomeness.
Displays Events from the combatlog (damage, healing, ...) as moving text and numbers across the Screen. It also supports various other Events (Loot, Cooldowns, ...). Further Parrot offers a Trigger-system to display Text and play sounds on certain predefined events (e.g. Nightfall for Warlocks).

FAQ
Q: "Parrot is not showing heals, but it's enabled in the options"
A: Since 3.2 WoW displays every full overheal in the combatlog (even for HoTs). That's why Parrot v1.9.0+ contains an option in Events to "Hide full overheals" which is enabled by default to avoid unnecessary spam.
Q: ''I want to use custom fonts and sounds in Parrot, but there are none available'
A: Parrot doesn't provide sounds or additional fonts (only the fonts included in WoW)
For additional fonts and sounds please install SharedMedia.
To use custom sounds and fonts see the "INSTRUCTIONS for MyMedia.txt" in the SharedMedia-folder.
Q: "Whenever I /reload or log back in again, parrot auto-hides blizzard's default outgoing damage text (the one above the mob in question). Is there any way to avoid having to enable blizz's functions all the time?
A: When enabled Parrot manages the settings for Blizzard FCTs damage- and heal-display. You can enable these features to be used with Parrot in the config (General->Game damage/healing)
Q: "Sometimes when Looting stackable items, the stackcount is off. Why isn't this fixed?"
A: The problem is, that the Interface-event for the Loot is sometimes triggered before, and sometimes after the item was put in the bag (depending on lag). If anyone knows a solution that does not involve constantly polling the bags' content, I'm open to suggestions.

profalbert Mon, 23 Feb 2009 18:16:35Parrot does not display threat-messages. I thought about implementing such a feature, but actually it has very little to do with the integrated "floating combat Text" that Parrot is trying to replace.
The Threat-messages of the default-UI are shown above the targets they are refering to. No addon can display a message above a target, so a Parrot-version of these messages would just be inferior to the default ones meaning such a feature wouldn't make sense at all.

Bigity Tue, 10 Feb 2009 17:44:44I've been looking into ditching Omen for the default UI threat messages. Does Parrot display them in the floating text messages like the default 'SCT' displays? I'm at work so can't just log in to check :(

theondry Sun, 08 Feb 2009 19:39:10Belatedly, but I have get Slam notifications. Set up a trigger with Primary condition of "Slam!" on Self Buff gain.
(As a side note, the hunter trigger "Moongoose Bite!" can be removed, as it no longer has a trigger.)

7heD0rkL0rd Sun, 08 Feb 2009 08:35:14I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I hope someone will direct me elsewhere if it not. I'm having trouble getting parrot to pick up the 4piece set bonus buff of the druid moonkin pvp set. I'd like it to be a Trigger just as nightfall, backlash, overpower, etc are, but for some reason it won't recongnize the buff (Wrath of Elune http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=46833). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

profalbert Wed, 28 Jan 2009 23:03:55Parrot works in 3.0.8 (at least I couldn't find any issues that are new) If you have a new issue, just write a ticket. as for slam. I don't have any fury-warrior that I can play myself, I can only try with combat-logs (if any fury want to post some (best in a new ticket)

Jiminimonka Wed, 28 Jan 2009 17:40:30Any news on an update for 3.0.8?

Sundevils Wed, 21 Jan 2009 00:21:46I was wondering if there were any plans to update Parrot to show Slam! (the bloodsurge proc) for fury warriors. Before 3.0.8 I was getting by with watching for Bloodthirst crits but as theyve changed it to a chance on hit of 3 different abilities, I now have to exclusively watch my buff bar. I tried setting up a custome event for this but I was unable to get it to work properly

profalbert Sun, 11 Jan 2009 23:31:42Soulshard-gains show for me. maybe you just need to enable the notification in the config. The spam-issue with some refreshing abilities is work in progress: http://www.wowace.com/projects/parrot/tickets/16-in-raids-parrot-eats-tons-of-cpu-due-to-ferocious-inspiration/
again: I don't read bug-reports in comments (at least not carefully). To increase the chance of a bug being actually seen by me (and perhaps even taken care of), post the bug via the wowace-ticket-system: http://www.wowace.com/projects/parrot/tickets/
