22 - DKP / Gear Calculations

What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?

-Using a DKP / Gear with a relational system allowing for equalization of priorities between hardcore raiders and casual raiders. The hardcore active raider will win most priority but that will allow the casual raider to occasionally have priority to get a piece of gear without fear of the hardcore raiders always winning.

-Prevent DKP hording and seasoned raiders from getting to a point where they have to earn absurd amounts of DKP to effectivly raise their priority.

-Should be easy to use and allow for fairly equal recent efforts to result in equal oportunities to obtain priority for gear.

Please provide any additional information below.

-I have used epgp in the past and did like alot of the functions but it did not allow for a export to web and a recording of gear awarded feature. Without a way to record or export data to external files a person could leave the guild, get reinvited back and would effectivly reset any huge gear deficit.

I would like similar relational DKP as epgp, where you can set a weekly/monthly decay rate. Example DK and the gear score would decay at a rate of 10% per week to prevent DKP hording and encourage people to maybe request or take gear on a more regular bases.

Also I did not see anywhere to set a min gear score to allow a divider of greater than zero preventing brand new raiders from having a very high priority level with very little DKP. Example new raider 40 DKP / O Gear = 40 priority, old raider 4000 DKP / 200 Gear (2 items maybe) = 20 priority (This also assumes that your mod uses the DKP/Gear method to determine a priority score.)

Another feature would be to add a min DKP level required to be reached before being allowed to receive gear or have your priorityu level actually show up at the top of the list. So a new member may have to raid a few times to get a total of 400 DKP before his score would show up on the pri list. This should not exclude if it is decided it would be better to give the person an item than to DE it.

My biggest concern is that without a decay and using a DKP / Gear in relational DKP that after awhile the old seasoned raiders need to get larger amounts of DKP to affect their priority level. Example old raider 4000 DKP / 1000Gear = 4 priority would need to get another 1000 DKP to raise his priority to 5. A new raider with 400 DKP / 200 Gear = 2 priority, if he got the same 1000 DKP he would be 1400DKP / 200 gear = 7 priority. Passing the person with more DKP who raider just as much.

You would also need to possibly include a method in the export / import or ingame sync to keep from having taxation happening more than once if multiple raid leaders during the week.

This all assumes basic DKP/Gear without knowing if there is any other factors considered within the mod.

    Thank You Yar

You still haven't told me exactly how you want it to be different from the relational DKP in the mod now...
