Masque

Bartender 4: Apathy Skin

Masque is a button enhancement engine that will skin the buttons of add-ons that support its features.

Note: You must have an add-on that supports Masque installed in order to use it.

Installation

  1. Browse to your add-ons folder. This should be located at World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns.
  2. Remove any existing Masque and/or ButtonFacade folders.
  3. Download the package.
  4. Extract or copy the contents of the package to your add-ons folder, exactly as they appear in the package.
  5. Log into the game. At the character select screen, click the Addons button and make sure that Masque is enabled.

Options

  • Access the options panel via the /msq or /masque chat commands, or the Interface Options Window.

FAQ

  • Add-on X is outdated and doesn't work with Masque anymore. Can you fix it?

No. If an author stopped development of an add-on, it's probably best that you find a replacement. I will not maintain special compatibility code for add-ons that aren't being maintained.

  • I created a skin for Masque. Now what?

Upload your skin to either WoW Interface or Curse and then post a link to the skin on this page.

Documentation

Masque's documentation can be found here.

As a correction, I only lowered by one point, not two. It seems Blizzard lowered it by one at some point. It used to be set at 15, but now it's 14. I have it set to 13.

You are right, of course, that it isn't necessarily a problem. Mostly, it just caught my eye because things looked different, and I thought I'd report it in case it was a bug. Anyways, now I now how to change it in case I decide to. Thanks for the reply and the great work on the addon.

Since Masque now allows skin authors to adjust the font and font size, I made some tweaks to the default font sizes. The Count size was relatively larger than the other fonts and looked disproportionate even on the default skin. I reduced the default size of it by two points. I don't see how this is a problem.

Since upgrading from ButtonFacade to Masque, the stack size on the icons on Bartender4 is smaller. Previously, the stack number would show with the same font size whether ButtonFacade was enabled. Now it shows with a smaller font size when Masque is enabled. Any idea why? Is anyone else having this problem?

There's two lines in DebuffFilter.lua that look like this:

    				frameitem.buttonfacadeGroup:AddButton(button,{Count=false})

Comment them out. IE, change them to:

    				--frameitem.buttonfacadeGroup:AddButton(button,{Count=false})

Don't set the bar to interactive. I think SBF uses the same code to show the borders for configuration as it does for the "Interactive" state. Also, SBF is out-dated. I'd suggest finding a new buff add-on.

I have an issue with Masque that affects SBF (SatrinaBuffFrame). I have my Buff Bar set to 'Interactive' via SBF (this allows me to right-click-remove unwanted buffs). When I have this checked for any of my Buff/Debuff/Other bars the skin and coloration I have chosen in Masque is present where there are no current Buffs...so I simply get an empty box on my screen.

Any help would be much appreciated and I realise that it may be the fault of SBF.

    Cheers, Splodey.

Yes, you're correct. Bagnon no longer supports ButtonFacade/Masque on its own (as of the most recent update) and a seperate addon is required (Bagnon Facade). :)

Bagnon moved its buttonfacade support to a separate addon. You need to download Bagnon Facade.
