Masque

Bartender 4: Apathy Skin

Masque is a button enhancement engine that will skin the buttons of add-ons that support its features.

Note: You must have an add-on that supports Masque installed in order to use it.

Installation

  1. Browse to your add-ons folder. This should be located at World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns.
  2. Remove any existing Masque and/or ButtonFacade folders.
  3. Download the package.
  4. Extract or copy the contents of the package to your add-ons folder, exactly as they appear in the package.
  5. Log into the game. At the character select screen, click the Addons button and make sure that Masque is enabled.

Options

  • Access the options panel via the /msq or /masque chat commands, or the Interface Options Window.

FAQ

  • Add-on X is outdated and doesn't work with Masque anymore. Can you fix it?

No. If an author stopped development of an add-on, it's probably best that you find a replacement. I will not maintain special compatibility code for add-ons that aren't being maintained.

  • I created a skin for Masque. Now what?

Upload your skin to either WoW Interface or Curse and then post a link to the skin on this page.

    Alright. Thought I'd ask. I'll keep my hopes up for it being updated.

    In the meantime, I'll keep adapt to using the Blizzard layout, or try something else. For a change. :)

    If the author has abandoned it, then it's beyond the scope of Masque to make it compatible. Typically, if something doesn't get updated in over a year, it's pretty much dead. I might be coerced into updating it to Masque, but that's assuming the original author will allow it.

    I'm going out on a limb and guess that Buttonfacade_Rothar is broken for good. Or are there a chance to get it (as in, the skin texture) to work with Masque again?

    Current alpha does NOT have an Ace3 update. As soon as there's a release, I'll poke it for release.

    @MayronEU: Go

    The only issues I've run across are related to Ace3, so until there's a release of Ace3, it's pointless to push a build. As soon as there is an update, I'll push an alpha.

    I won't be bothered to push a "PTR version". :P

    You can still fix up the AddOn on the PTR :)

    Ah. Well, still waiting on my invite, so...

    the problem are the old Ace3 libs. I have replaced them with a new version and now it works fine.

    @Nirriti: Go

    I'll look into it, but library errors are rarely caused by the add-on they're printed from. As far as a beta goes, that depends on if and when Blizzard sends me an invite.

    Hi,

    is there a WoD Beta in work? I get the following error when using Masque with the BETA:

    Message: Interface\AddOns\Masque\Libs\AceDB-3.0\AceDB-3.0.lua:263: bad argument #1 to 'sub' (string expected, got nil) Time: Thu Aug 14 12:37:34 2014 Count: 1 Stack: [C]: in function `sub' Interface\AddOns\Masque\Libs\AceDB-3.0\AceDB-3.0.lua:263: in main chunk

    Locals: (*temporary) = nil (*temporary) = 1 (*temporary) = 2 (*temporary) = "string expected, got nil"

    Nice addon!
