16 - Use vendor price for commonly sold items
Take for example the "Imbued Vial". On my server, some ppl keep posting those for 1.5g in the AH. but since this is a common thing to buy from a vendor, LSW should ignore the AH price, and use the vendor buy price. This could facilitate the number of shops selling this item. If it is above 25 or so LSW should take the vendor price.

lilsparky Sat, 15 Aug 2009 22:41:36there was a problem in the 5.5 version of informant where specialty vendor items were not being correctly identified. lsw uses informant (or libpt if informant is not installed) to identify items that are "vendor" items.
auctioneer 5.6 seems to have fixed the issue with informant.

carnifex82 Sat, 15 Aug 2009 17:43:08Please change this feature somewhat. At the moment as of release 79, all my gems list vendor prices as mat cost. The RESALE vendor price to be exact. Since i obtain most of my gems through the ah before i cut them this is buggin the overview. We all realise the new epic gems have a far higher mat cost then the 20g it lists now. I've tried different settings but it won't budge a bit.
Using latest auctioneer suite in combination with the latest version of your addon.
Release 72 had it properly, but now it just defaults to vendor price ALWAYS wich is not what most of the users want, It seems the options listed in the "cost basis" section are simply not followed at all if there are vendor possibilities to get the gems. And to be honest, i haven't found a single vendor selling epic gems at 20g yet.

arykad Tue, 21 Jul 2009 19:42:01I'm having the same trouble with Auctioneer - some bozo keeps posting rune thread at 28g, when i can get it easily for 50s, and even 42s with faction discount.
LSW is using the auctioneer value to set the cost - making a ton of recipes inflated.... Very frustrating. I'm not sure what to do with it, since i see it's also happening with other plugins...

lilsparky Tue, 14 Jul 2009 23:37:09informant (5.5 or later) should provide the appropriate data, but it was buggy initially. i'll see if i can verify that it's working properly.

lilsparky Fri, 03 Jul 2009 16:47:26if you have libperiodic table (or informant) lsw should already do what you're asking.
i'll verify i didn't break something, but this is how it should work: any item that is a normal vendor item (that is, it's not a limited supply item) should be priced based on the cost to purchase from the vendor.
