12 - BeanCounter information in LSW

What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?

Adding information from BeanCounter into LSW to display the amount historically gained from selling that item. The lack of space in the crafting pane would probably mean that this information could be shown when holding down a modifier key.

Please provide any additional information below.

[BeanCounter Wiki page] (http://wiki.norganna.org/BeanCounter). The API call is BeanCounter.API.getAHProfit(player, item, lowDate, highDate), and LSW would only need to fill the item part of that. The rest should be empty as we want the server profit over the entire history.

Or I could just enable output from sales in my Auctioneer tooltips… I feel silly now.

Hm, yea. "Sales stats are the numbers that are generated by the sales module from the BeanCounter database. It averages all of the prices for items that you have sold."

When selecting this mode the row value is the average sell value and when I press alt I get stuff like "10 (0)" where 10 appears to be the number of items I've sold. It's a bit clumsy to have this as a separate module though – having to switch between the modes and LSW rescanning all the time.

A modifier key might not be the way to go here, but maybe integrating it in the sales column tooltip? It already seems to use data from the mode I've currently selected, so maybe a 2nd line with output from "sales"?

the "sales" module tells you how many items you've sold and how much they sold for. i *think* it's a composite number (some kind of average) but i'm not totally sure.

I'm not sure if you can get the number of successful/failed auctions from BeanCounter, but that would be even nicer I guess.

BeanCounter lists the total profit you've made from selling that item. I'm not WoW-able at the moment so I can check what "sales" lists, so I can't compare it to that one. This is close to a vanity feature, but sometimes it would be nice to know how much gold you made from an item.

how much different is this from selecting "sales" from the auction pricing modules?

it wouldn't be too hard to add beancounter as a pricing module if sales isn't sufficient. that would fit my system better than a modifier key method.
