Sample Scripts

OnClick now provides a pressed and released variable you can check for.

if pressed then
  -- do mouse down actions
elseif released then
  -- do mouse up actions
end

This means your script will get called twice when someone clicks the panel.

Ive created an Example Texture Pack.

This example pack is just a template. If you want to use it as a storage spot for your art, look at the read me file for directions on usage.

    thanks lol
I am having trouble figuring out how to get the background of my art to be transparent. Every time I upload it I have my art, but it's in a big box. Any suggestions, because I'm pretty new to photoshop.

Hi everyone, I'm new to using kgPanels and am having some problems. I've read some tutorials and watched some vids and stuff but I can't manage to upload my own artwork/textures. So hopefully one of you can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I am using Microsoft Digital Image (Starter Addition) to create the file as .tga

Here's where I am saving the file.
    C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\textures\Rip.tga

Dimensions of the file are 128 by 128.

Here's my Path that I am using
    \\Interface\\AddOns\\textures\\Rip.tga

So what am I doing wrong because I don't see my texture being uploaded?

Thos of you who were having the 'it doesnt stick on reload' please double check the values you were setting for alpha in the colors. I noticed teh sample scripts had a alpha of 0 so it actually was working properly and applying an alpha of 0 which would make it non visible. Ive updated the samples to reflect proper values. You should also try to kep scripts with the panel it modifies OnShow is your friend for panels that are visible only with their parent.

ScrappyDoo: what frame do you have it parented to?

  • Avatar of Ravengus Ravengus Mar 02, 2009 at 17:31 UTC - 0 likes

hey, the bug ScrappyDoo mentioned also happens at my configuration, just using the sample script you provided (showing / hiding frames based on target-exists). Tested Version: 1.1.4, r279, 1.1.3, r275 Bye, Ravengus.
