Incognito

Incognito adds you name in front of your chat messages. Can be enabled for guild (and officer), party and raid chat messages.

E.g.:
[Guild] [Yourchar]: Some chat message
becomes
[Guild] [Yourchar]: (Yourname): Some chat message

Usage

You can use the GUI config dialog or the slash commands /incognito or /inc

Slash options

config - Open configuration dialog
enable - Enable or disable adding your name to chat messages
name - The name that should be displayed in your chat messages

GUI options

Enable - Enable adding your name to chat messages.
Name - The name that should be displayed in your chat messages
Guild - Add name to guild chat messages
Party - Add name to party chat messages
Raid - Add name to raid chat messages
Channel - Add name to chat messages in a custom channel
Debug - Enable debugging messages output. You probably don't want to enable this

Although it still works this is a dead addon.

There is a fork which has been updated to 9.0.2 https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/name2chat

World of Warcraft Addons menu indicates Incognito to be out-of-date but CurseForge says I have the latest version, Incognito-v1.4.1.zip. Not experiencing any problems, just an FYI.

You realize this addon was last updated in 2015, right? Do you think it is likely that the author is currently active?

In any case, it mostly works for the current version of WoW.

On Classic (can't say about Retail), Incognito has a compatibility issue with "!wb" and "!<itemlink>" notation (it breaks both of those usages). Anyone have a fix or workaround for it?

Is there a way to use incognito so that when I change guilds or servers I can keep the name in each one different ?

Like I use it for one server I am the GM and the other server I am the Co-GM and I would like to have it save it for each that way . Then I don't have to manually change it each time I jump from one server to the other````

I can't mark the Hide name if match the current char, you click on it, it get marked, but won't save, if you press ok and back it is unchecked, any change will uncheck to..
