Overview

HandyNotes_CityGuide is small companion addon to HandyNotes_Vendors, HandyNotes_Trainers, HandyNotes_Mailboxes and HandyNotes_FlightMasters adding map notes for rest of the points of interrest in Cities, Towns and all of Azeroth. HandyNotes_CityGuide requires HandyNotes to run.

Supported note types:

• Bankers
• Guild Banks (untested)
• Auction Houses
• Stables (may be removed if HandyNotes_Stables addon is updated)
• Battle Masters
• Spirit Healers (moved to another addon)

Notes handled by other addons:

• Innkeepers: HandyNotes_Vendors

How you can help

• Localization
  • Use the wowace's Localization tool and provide any localization phrases.
  • I'm interested in: Simplified Chinese, French, German, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Latin American Spanish.
  • Alternatively send your translations in UTF-8 encoding to my email: zarevak [a] gmail [point] com

License

HandyNotes_CityGuide is written under the GPL v3 license with the attribution requirement. This means:

• You free to use the addon ;-) (GPLv3 section 2)
• You are free to redistribute unmodified version of the addon in the original package, but you have to provide link to the original version on Curse or WowAce and give me credit as an author. (GPLv3 sections 4, 7.b)
• You are free to change the addon, but if you publish your version you are obliged to:
  1. Mark the addon as modified. I request you to change the name of the addon (adding your name to the addon name is sufficient) (GPLv3 section 5.a)
  2. Add yourself as the primary addon author
  3. Release the addon under GPLv3 or later (GPLv3 sections 5.b, 5.c)
  4. Link to the original project on Curse or WowAce and give me credit as an original author.
  5. List your changes
• You are free to aggregate the addon in Addon Packs (GPLv3 sections 4, 5)
  • The same rules apply if you modify the addon in any way! (mark it as modified, rename the addon, add yourself as primary author and link to the original version)

License FAQ:

Can you please release your addon on "MySuperAddonSite"?

No. HandyNotes_CityGuide is currently released on Curse and WowAce. I won't release HandyNotes_CityGuide on sites with no official HandyNotes releases.

What about GPL?

GPL allows you to redistribute unmodified version of the addon anywhere you want. You just have to provide links back to the official addon project on Curse or WowAce and give me credit as an author.

Warning: If you change the official package in any way you have to mark your version as changed and rename the addon.
