Grid

313 - Documentation user guide confusing

What is the task?
on one of your help pages (http://www.wowace.com/addons/grid/pages/users-guide/) states
A unit is a specific player or NPC. This includes your character, your pet, your party and raid members, their pets, targets, your target's target, and your focus. Grid tracks all members of your party or raid, including yourself, your pet, and other group members' pets.

I spent quite some time - before I realised  that "targets, your target's target, and your focus" are not displayable by Grid (refer ticket 222 - Add a layout option to include focus target on grid)

Not a big deal - but I did spend a while trying to workout how to display my target and focus - I'd guess that if your target was a group (raid/pary/bg) member then you could
And yes I know a unit is what the page says - but its not the right definition for grid

    How is that confusing?

First, it explains what the word "unit" means in WoW:

A unit is a specific player or NPC. This includes your character, your pet, your party and raid members, their pets, targets, your target's target, and your focus.

Then, it specifically lists which units Grid tracks:

Grid tracks all members of your party or raid, including yourself, your pet, and other group members' pets.

Plus, the first line on the main description for the addon explicitly states that "Grid is a party/raid unit frame addon." Anyone who has ever used any party or raid frames, including those in the default UI, should generally know that "party/raid frames" means the actual party or raid group. Not targets, focus targets, arena opponents, bosses, etc., even if those happen to point to the same real unit as a party member at a particular moment. The default UI doesn't magically add an extra frame when you target a party member as opposed to when you target a mob; why would Grid?
