Grid

227 - Ace 3.0 vs 2.0

Is there a reason Grid is still using the old Ace 2.0 libraries? I'm mainly oncerned about performance issues.

Grid is still using Ace2 because it relies heavily on AceOO-2.0, which has no equivalent in Ace3. Switching to Ace3 would require completely rewriting Grid. In fact, this was already done by other people, and the result is Grid2. If you're concerned about running both Ace2 and Ace3 libraries at the same time, you could look into switching to Grid2.

I see Ace3 is still in Beta mode. I guess that would be a reasonable explanation :-)
