isquarei Sun, 13 Sep 2009 14:12:06Messing with the textures and stuff didn't work for me, neither did reloading the ui multiple times. The only thing that fixed it was disabling range checking for unit health like previously stated :( I do still randomly get the black bars on login, and if I enable then disable the range checking, its normal again

Phanx Sun, 13 Sep 2009 10:40:45After reading ArcVieh's comment, I'd tend to suspect that black bars on login are the result of your having selected a bar texture that isn't available when Grid initially loads. To confirm, I need one or more of you guys to log in and get the black bars, then go into Grid's configuration and change your bar texture (Frame > Advanced > Frame Texture). Do health bars appear correctly now?

2phazt Sat, 05 Sep 2009 07:10:10After the third login the black Unitframes disappear and the normal Unitframes appear.
This happens with the actual r1217 - maybe after i upgraded to Pitbull4 - dont testet it with Pitbull3...

ArcVieh Sun, 30 Aug 2009 03:07:54Thx tfi. Btw.: After three /rl, if the black boxes are gone, I get always this error message:
Message: ..\AddOns\Grid\GridFrame.lua line 407: Usage: <unnamed>:SetFont("font", fontHeight [, flags]) Debug: ...ddOns\AtlasLootFu\Libs\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua:25: ...ddOns\AtlasLootFu\Libs\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua:23 ...ddOns\AtlasLootFu\Libs\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua:1055: ManualEnable() ...ddOns\AtlasLootFu\Libs\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua:983: ...ddOns\AtlasLootFu\Libs\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua:976 [C]: ? tfi Tue, 25 Aug 2009 23:04:38I found another workaround: Grid Menu -> Layout -> Solo: switch to something else an back -> black frames are gone :)
No /rl required.

JLBurnett04 Tue, 18 Aug 2009 15:40:47This bug is so annoying and it seems to have been around for a while. I used GridAutoFrameSize before... it was updated... i tried both using the updated version and disabling it and it has no effect on my black boxes. I have erased my Grid saved variables and started over. I get the black boxes when i first sign on, but later on they go away. I can't figure this out at all and the whole thing is really confusing. Even when i disable all Grid plugins I still have the stupid black boxes.

smapty Sat, 15 Aug 2009 21:34:49TFI, I've been running without issue since the fix I mentioned. "Random" problems are fairly rare, and usually revolve around memory leaks, huge scalability issues, other threading problems.
In this case more than likely there's just a variable at play that you haven't noticed yet, probably an addon, and the fact that blanking occurs the time after you logged out with the offending addon enabled... makes things seem random.
