122 - Interference from title swapping addons
What version of Grid are you using?
Grid version (ex: r1192 from wowace.com/files)
Altho the same problem happens with older versions of Grid.
What version (and language) of WoW are you using?
3.1.1a English
What were you doing when the problem occured?
Attempting to click a unit in the Grid frame.
What happened? What did you expect to happen instead?
About 80% of the time the click targets the unit properly, other times it takes multiple (up to 5?!) to properly target them.
Do you have an error log of what happened?
There is no 'error'
Please provide any additional information below.
There was a previous ticket with this same issue that was deemed Invalid. This is definately not an Invalid issue.

I have tried disabling all other AddOns besides Grid and the issue still persists.

Phanx Thu, 26 Nov 2009 00:27:53I've had several people testing a version of Grid with UNIT_NAME_UPDATE unregistered on the group headers, and none of them have reported any oddities, so I'll go ahead and commit the changes tonight. I think we're about ready for a release!

Phanx Thu, 19 Nov 2009 10:51:16It looks like WoW 3.3 will break title-swapping addons; as of PTR build 10835, SetCurrentTitle is a protected function and cannot be called by addons.
However, it seems fairly simple to address the issue for live servers, and even in 3.3 there's not really any reason to update headers on UNIT_NAME_UPDATE since you can't change your name without logging out (which will generate a RAID_ROSTER_UPDATE event and update the header anyway) so I'll see about patching Grid to alleviate the issue in the meantime.

jeh Sun, 02 Aug 2009 07:20:25This bug is caused by the addon TitleSwapper (http://www.wowace.com/addons/titleswapper/). Download that mod, join a party or raid, set the title switching interval to 0, and you will no longer be able to consistently click raid members. Afflicts PerfectRaid as well, probably others. Don't know why - hopefully you can figure it out.

Heineken89 Sat, 27 Jun 2009 00:59:03Are you able to come up with a fix to this bug ? I've the same bug when I'm raiding, I know there is a player in my raid using a title changing addon.
Additional info: I'm using GridStatusRaidDebuff on this aswell. I didn't get those wierd bugs before wotlk came, or even the title changing addon.

eladsmada Wed, 24 Jun 2009 21:54:22Upon further investigation regarding the comments about title changing addons, I am tending to agree. When I asked for people to switch off the title changing addons, the problem went away. As far as I can tell it was just 1 person in the 25-person raid running one, that was causing this issue across the entire raid (and only in grid).

memzer Wed, 17 Jun 2009 22:03:54This has been a serious problem for us in raids as well. The majority of us have had to resort to using double clicks to select targets. It's pretty difficult to reproduce as well but we found that it seems to be related to (de)buffs. Simply try selecting multiple raid targets at random while your raid is buffing to see the issue we are having.
In fights like Yogg-Saron where the raid is continually getting negative buffs it is almost impossible to heal with Grid as it is.
FWIW this problem is not meant to affect XPerl (don't have anybody that can confirm/deny if it affects Healbot).

eladsmada Tue, 16 Jun 2009 19:11:39My understanding is that this issue does not relate solely to targeting, but also to many (all?) click-casting via the Grid frame. I compensate for it by clicking 3 or 4 times whenever i want something to occur - i would estimate that 15% of my Grid clicks receive no response. As a comparison, I have done limited testing on Xperl frames (target and self), and they seem to respond 100% of the time. I am using: Clique-r119-release and Grid 1.30100.2009041601.

humera Mon, 18 May 2009 17:45:54Synerdrei, try to find out if someone in your raid is using an addon or macro that continuously changes their title. Someone was doing this in our raid and once we yelled at him to stop, Grid began working properly again. This still only seemed to affect Grid however; and haven't tested this brand new release yet to see if it fixed it.
