12 - Layout Configuration Mode
What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?
*Layout -> Configuration Mode -> On / Off*
A feature (like the Pitbull's configuration mode) to be able to get dummy frames up to easier customize and alter the layout without having to be in a raid.
*Layout -> Configuration Mode -> Advanced Options*
An extended feature that allows you to select the amount of each different class / role to get an even better overview of a possible raid layout configuration.
Please provide any additional information below.
Our whole guild uses Grid, and the only thing I hear that players have trouble with regarding Grid is to customize / alter the layout in an easy way that does not require to invite a lot of players. A layout configuration mode should solve that and be a nice addition to Grid.
Thank you for an excellent raid addon.
Regards,
Dhraga.

Phanx Dec 18, 2008 at 10:35 UTC - 0 likes@taral: That's a good candidate for a separate addon, to build a set of fake Grid frames using your Grid settings, but I don't think it's necessary to bulk up Grid with that much extra code, when you can set up your configuration beforehand and then join an AV to make final adjustments, or perform small tweaks between trash pulls in a real raid.

taral Dec 08, 2008 at 19:18 UTC - 0 likesWhat about just overlaying a set of non-secure frames on top of the grid instead of trying to make SRH do it?

Pastamancer Oct 27, 2008 at 15:41 UTC - 0 likesThis is probably never going to happen unless someone else codes it. Trying to get Blizzard's SecureRaidHeaders to do something like this is just more trouble than it's worth to me.
I'll leave this open for people to vote/comment on.
