370 - Neverending scan
Version r146
The scan is very very very long.
I have played 30 minutes yesterday and the addon had scanned only about 100 alchemy recipes when I have disconnected.
My friend has exactly the same problem.
I had to disable the addon since I can't open craft windows during the scan.
Thank you in advance!

By chance I have found the addon responsible by disabling the first addon in alphabetical order that could cause the problem in my opinion. It is Armory. Without Armory loaded, the scan runs normally.

lilsparky Jun 06, 2011 at 21:50 UTC - 0 likescan you try running with only gw to see if it's any better? in order to get the thing to rescan, you'd need to do:
/script GnomeWorksDB.clientBuild = nil /reload
at the moment, the data collected is bogus anyway, so it's not like you're losing something valuable. you can get it to stop scanning by doing:
/script GnomeWorksDB.clientBuild = 14...err... whatever the current client build # is. /reload
so if it looks like it's gonna take more than a few minutes, then it's not being good.

did you try /reload at all? Yes, the scan has restarted and was very long too
were you in a high traffic area? No
what kind of connection do you have? ADSL 6Mb
is you game client still downloading content at all? No

L0relei Jun 06, 2011 at 16:50 UTC - 0 likesMy friend has found a way to finish the scan "manually". Each time the scan seems to stop, he has clicked on a tradeskill button in the spellbook. For Enchanting it was very long (one click for one recipe). It worked for me as well, but it would be better if we could avoid that.
