GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.
GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.
To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Vailaan Apr 11, 2013 at 05:16 UTC - 0 likesHi - I have had a recent problem arise. My character - a herbalist - now has a bunch of green circles superimposed over the character on the minimap; one for each herb I have in my bag, ( I do not need to look closely at my minimap to see where I am, a bunch of green circles give me away :-) ). I can switch them off by turning off herb search, and by unloading Gathermate2, but they reappear when those action are turned back on. I have the latest update installed (1.25.4). I am presently in the Gilnean starting zone.
Any advice please
Edit: Lol - just realised this issue has been raise a few comments below - sorry for doubling up.

Um, while I understand that, I don't understand what that means in terms of the cause and solution. Is this a Blizzard oversight, or something that can be accounted for in GM2?

myrroddin Mar 09, 2013 at 05:24 UTC - 0 likesI was fishing in the new Troll island, got Reef Octopus swarm. Now the little circle follows me around on the mini map, as if pinned to my character arrow.
The world frame map seems fine, however.

Not auto e-mail for ticket ? that's a bit crappy. Thanks for fixing this half-bug, I actually don't have anymore when I don't load the _data addon, that's quite strange.
What about the second part of my comment (the moving tracking circles)?

Arkane5 Jan 29, 2013 at 04:01 UTC - 0 likesIs there anybody looking at the tickets? It's been a month since I submitted one, and no answer yet...
Apart from my ticket, I wanted to signal another thing: the tracking circles move when you move, then get back to their place, when you are in an instance (Darkmoon wreckage around Darkmoon island, for example). I didn't see anybody complaining about it, am I the only one affected ?

You are doing nothing wrong. The issue is because not enough people are using both WoWHead's Client and/or Curse's solution to upload data. Further, not enough people are doing Archaeology in the first place. The Curse solution only works in Windows because it requires the v5 Client.

I'm also having the same issue as Bluekupo here. I've done all the same things that they have done but no joy on MoP archaeology pins/nodes.
