FlagRSP2

22 - Minimap Icon

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load up WoW with FlagRSP2, Fubar and Broker2Fubar loaded.
2. Go into FlagRSP2 options and uncheck the "Show minimap icon." option towards the bottom.
3. Restart WoW.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect not to see the Minimap Icon when WoW is started. It shows up, even though the options say it's disabled.

What version of the product are you using?
2.1 - it also showed up in the latest release before it.

Do you have an error log of what happened?
No error log.

Please provide any additional information below.
Probably a case of the minimap icon flag not being properly read or parsed on startup.

I've managed to make it stop happening now, but I needed to wipe my old saved variables file for it, so it might be an old setting that was causing the problem, at a guess.

Just tried to test this on my laptop using a pure end user environment.

Upon logging into a character the minimap icon is still there when unchecked. Checking then unchecking the option and reloading fixes it permanently. Still unable to reproduce what you are see.

Update - I've done more testing, including deleting and reinstalling the addon both from Curse and from the download on this site (the 2.1 release version, not the r8 or r9 alphas), and I still get the minimap icon error on all characters as described.

Got installed the "2.1 Release" version, but that might have been before the r8 changes to fix the issue? I installed the one currently up on Curse.

Are you absolutely sure you have updated to version 2.1 that was released ninety minutes ago? I am looking at this now and can not reproduce it any more. 2.1 is supposed to fix the issue.

You may have to close and reopen WoW after setting the option.
