1. normal dot
2. ignite from critical dots
3. ignite from the boom/hit
But that is not really a big problem. Fire mages should always follow the stat increase for the fireball hits. Everything else is secondary.

Gagorian Mar 26, 2011 at 17:30 UTC - 0 likesNow I see why I've disabled Ignite for Flame Orb. The reason is that the end effect from the Fire Power talent uses the same core calculation function as Ignite, currently it isn't possible to add another effect unless I add the capability into the core. If I get some extra time on my hands, I'll consider adding it. But for now Ignites aren't calculated for Flame Orb...

Though the only benefit from haste Flame Orb get is the global cooldown. There is always a set number of hits and they are not considered dots. The only benefit Flame Orb gets from mastery is the ignite tics.

Although you need to take into account that it's the bonus for a single ignite, and doesn't tack into account stacking/rolling if that's still applicable.
Mastery should be affecting both the dots and ignites of LB and PB. For some reason I've set that mastery doesn't apply to Flame Orb, but I don't remember why. It's probably based on a test or something I read, it's possible the situation has changed. Can you confirm if it applies or not?

Wolfenstein2 Mar 18, 2011 at 20:03 UTC - 0 likesIt is in the tooltip for Fireball but the value feels a little off. For Fireball it says says
+1% DPS (Int|Ma): 59.5/747.6
I don't know if it is my critical strike rating that is to low or if mastery is practically worthless for fire mages.
And a follow up question. Did you remember that mastery double stacks from both the standard dot and ignites on Living Bomb and Pyroblast? It is completely missing on Flame Orb.
