Craft DB

Main Window with Tooltip

Craft DB

Craft DB keeps track of crafter on your server. Whenever you open a profession link, the skills and the name of the crafter will be saved and can be displayed when needed. If you are looking for that Blade Ward enchant and can't remember wo has the recipe, you can use CraftDB to look who has it.

Craft DB will display names in different colors if they are online, offline, in your guild, on your friendlist or just some random guy who posted his profession into the trade channel

Usage

As soon as you open a profession window (either your own, or from a link), Craft DB will scan all the available recipes and saves them and the name of the person for later use.

Craft DB provides a LibDataBroker launcher to open the windows.

If you don't have a LibDataBroker display addon installed, you can use /craftdb or /cdb to open Craft DB.

When you enter something into the search box, Craft DB will perform a search on the currently selected profession and only displays the matching spell names.

<<quote>>Hi, I don't know if I already pm'd you or not but I was wondering if there is anyway to use this with the Guild Interface. Say I wanted everyone in my guild that was over 450 in skills would it be something I would have to open all of them individually or is there a way to link them somehow. Also if I did gab everyone in the guild would there be a way to quickly scan the skills or would I want to maybe weekly update them again?

    thank you

    Hello,

No, I have not received a PM from you in regards to this topic. I just recently have taken over this project in the past two weeks. I have broken your questions down below and will try to answer them each individually as best I can.

Q: Anyway to use this with the Guild Interface?
A: I have tried using it by directly opening links from the new guild interface, but it does not appear to save them that way. I have not tried linking them to myself from the guild interface via chat, then opening them. Although that would be a lot more work than either of us want to do I assume.

Q: Say I wanted everyone in my guild that was over 450 in skills would it be something I would have to open all of them individually, or is there a way to link them somehow?
A: With the new guild interface already having everyone's updated skill list in it, it becomes a bit redundant to try and duplicate them intentionally in Craft DB. Craft DB, was originally designed to store links and lists of professions for times you do not have access to them, or wanted to find someone who made said item. With all the new features in Cataclysm, and professions being available via the new guild pane, this add on has become more solely used for friends and unknown or random links from trade. That way you can find the name of the person again or the mats you need for something when guild can not do it when you need it.

Q: Also if I did grab everyone in the guild would there be a way to quickly scan the skills, or would I want to maybe weekly update them again?
A: To my knowledge you need to manually update it by opening a linked profession from the chat frame. Always with anyone outside of your guild. Since they are in guild, you can just use the social pane.

I may look into branching off with a new program if I can figure out how to have it auto pull data from the guild tab. I am still pretty green when it comes to Lua, and that may be the project that fully immerses me. Hopefully I have given you the answers to help, although I understand it may not be what you were wanting, it is where I am with the project right now. If you have any issues/errors/suggestions please open a ticket for each one individually, and if it is something I might consider I will then be able to track it accordingly.

Thank you for your interest and suggestions, and keep them coming.
