ClassTimer

ClassTimerBars

If there are spells missing for your class please make a ticket or add a comment, also please tell me of spells that have been removed so I can remove them from the list as well

Releases means stable and working except no guarantee and limited support on sticky bars.

This is an Addon to create timers for your own buffs and debuffs.

General

player bars on left, target in middle, focus on right, all can be moved

To track CC Effects you must set the CCed mob as your focus if its not your target.

Only icons and time can be shown if you don't want bars.

The text can be customised in the options by using, "%s for spell name", "%a for applications", "%u for unit name eg target or player", "%n for mob name"

This mod is set up with AceLocale so anyone who wants to add other locals feel free :)

If you want other textures for the bars, get the AddOn SharedMedia.

Options

  1. /ClassTimer or the LDB Launcher

This does not show for my Hunter. It is setup for just the Player and is enabled but does not show. During the setup phase the marker does appear and can be moved and configured but on 'Closing' nothing happens in any situation! Sadly, nothing shows as an error in Bugsack/!BugGrabber.

Wine for my men. We ride at dawn.

Hallo. I've got a question. I play Holy Pally and i want two of my buffs always shown : Sacred Shield, Beacon of Light.

I've disabled all my buffs/spell to show only two of this spells and what i got: When i cast "Beacon" on myself it is always shown but if i cast it on any other player (target frame) i have to click on it to see the CastTimer (same with Sacred Shield).

I've tried to search something like "always show target frame" option but didn't find any.

Than i made a "sticky" for my Sacred shield and i got nearly what i wanted to have (have to click target to make sticky work. Would be nice if sticky bar would appear w/o clicking anything)

Wanted to make same thing for my "Beacon" but i didn't find that spell in the spell list of "stickies".

Question: As i see there is not "Beacon of light" spell in the spell list of "sticky" or i'm doing something wrong.

P.S. I play on RUS realms.

@bertholdfamily make sure when you type in the spell, it is exactly as shown in the spellbook. Any variations can cause it not to show as a timer.

It would appear that after the last update the bars no longer colour according to what school of magic they belong to.

I have a level 41 mage, and Counterspell does not show up on any of my bars. I have Counterspell checked in the Misc tab, yet it does not show in the Target bar. I also checked it in the Sticky bar, but it does not show up in that bar either. I even tried adding it as a Custom Timer, but that did not work either. Does any other mage have this problem?

Had to add Metamorphosis, Seed of Corruption, and Molten Core to custom timers. Any chance on adding these and any others missed to the addon so it picks them up by default?

20% of the time a timer bar will get "stuck" on my screen at 0.0s until I /rl, it's very annoying. Known bug or do I have something funky going on with my install?

thank you wT. I've been wanting a feature like AlwaysShown for a while. Hunters can only place one Hunter's Mark per target... ClassTimer would track mine if I placed it, but not another hunter's. Now I can see if the MM hunter in our raid is keeping up his part of the deal by using his better mark :D

With Stanzilla's permission, I commited few changes to the addon.

Firstly, custom timers are now character specific. I could only think of one or two instances where I wanted profile specific timers that span through all my alts, while character specific timers in my opinion fit much better. This way you don't necessarily have to wait for an update to the addon when new spells are added to the game, you can just add them to custom timers, and they won't clutter the timers for your other alts.

Secondly, I added a whole new timer type called "AlwaysShown" that ignore who cast the buff/debuff. This way, if you play a warrior and add Sunder/ThunderClap/DemoShout as AlwaysShown timers, you will be able to always see the timers for those skills, no matter who applied them. Or watch sunders from your rogue, to know if you should start exposing or not, or add a buff like Hodir's cloud buff so you know when to blow cooldowns.

AlwaysShown timers casted by others will by default show up as slightly darker bars.

I hope this is of any interest to others :)
