Chinchilla Minimap

Example 1

Chinchilla Minimap alters the Blizzard Minimap in a way to provide much nicer features and other niceties.

Allows changing of blip size, border style, shape of the map (doesn't have to be circular, or even square, lots of options are available), size, etc.
A more flexible north-east-south-west indicator.
Show your location coordinates.
Make the minimap very big temporarily (good for gathering or finding a tough-to-spot enemy).
Show the name of your location more flexibly.
Move Buttons
Move the buttons around the minimap to wherever you want (even off the minimap entirely).
Show which team-mate pinged the minimap.
Position the minimap and frames around it.
Range Circle
Show on the minimap where your range extends to.
Show / Hide
Show or hide various frames related to the minimap.
Tracking Dots
Change the dots on the map to a different set of images. Very handy, especially if you suffer from colour-blindness
Use the mouse-wheel to zoom the minimap and zoom out the map automatically after 20 seconds (or so).

    My blip size was not changed.

    This is not the blips; this is the wait time text for the LFD indicator the stuff you get when you mouseover the icon, or click on the icon.

    Tinolyn, keep in mind that the "Blip Size" setting, if set too high, will push the arrows off the edge of your minimap, therefore hiding them. You can only set the blip size to about 130% before they're completely worthless.

    I thought in a past build you had a feature that allowed us to display the LFG info (on wait times) in a different place, if you had a map that was positioned on the left side of the screen. Am I blind or just not seeing it? I'm using v. 2.2.2.

    Is the bossframe bugged atm? Because at Gunship today I couldnt get the bossframe to show up. It worked before 4.0.1 but not after. I havent touched any of my settings.

    Blizzard have added an extra tracking option: Points of Interest.
    Open up the tracking menu and click on it to add a tick if there isn't one there already.

    A "hide in combat" option sort of already exists.
    Go to the Appearance section of the config and set the Combat Alpha option to zero.

    Add 'Hide in Combat' option in the next release please. Here is my Code Sample

    local function CombatHide()
    	if db.hideincombat then
    		Chinchilla:SetScript("OnEvent", function(self,event)
    					if event == "PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED" then

    Is anyone else having trouble with directional arrows showing up in the minimap? Mine decided to disappear for some reason (the arrows that point you to a nearby town, is what I'm referring to).
