Chinchilla Minimap

Example 1

Chinchilla Minimap alters the Blizzard Minimap in a way to provide much nicer features and other niceties.

Appearance
Allows changing of blip size, border style, shape of the map (doesn't have to be circular, or even square, lots of options are available), size, etc.
Compass
A more flexible north-east-south-west indicator.
Coordinates
Show your location coordinates.
Expander
Make the minimap very big temporarily (good for gathering or finding a tough-to-spot enemy).
Location
Show the name of your location more flexibly.
Move Buttons
Move the buttons around the minimap to wherever you want (even off the minimap entirely).
Ping
Show which team-mate pinged the minimap.
Position
Position the minimap and frames around it.
Range Circle
Show on the minimap where your range extends to.
Show / Hide
Show or hide various frames related to the minimap.
Tracking Dots
Change the dots on the map to a different set of images. Very handy, especially if you suffer from colour-blindness
Zoom
Use the mouse-wheel to zoom the minimap and zoom out the map automatically after 20 seconds (or so).

I hate to be a bother, but I noticed you removed the ability to move the dungeon difficulty. Would it be possible to get this re-added in addition to being able to hide it?

Any chance of including an option to hide the dungeon & raid difficulty display? It would be much appreciated.

Does anyone know if the new square mask solved the problems ?

Seems to work for me. Changed the minimap back to square, logged off (quit the game, actually) and back in without a single error.

    Hi

I downloaded the newest alpha version. Its perfect. Thank you!

a little reflection: if i set the tracker movable (orenge indicator) after i go to the tracker size setting menu and setting the size, the orange indicator dosent refressing the new size (but do it the resizing) . but dosent matter, i like so also :)

I'm sticking with Chinchilla, SexyMap which I've always enjoyed for it's onHover of the Buttons, is causing a LOT of issues with the whole resizing of that QuestTracker window.

I 'believe' if you load the game, Track ALL of your current Quests, THEN click on the Move thingy in Chinchilla Options for the Tracker, it'll be 'that' size so you can move it, save it... then enjoy it. Damn Blizzard for remove the whole resize / move option for this thing... that was a bogus move on their part. Almost completely killed the idea of using MiniMap Mods. Luckily we have Chinchilla. :-D Where the Author actually does pay attention.

Edit: On that note: It does only have a square to move the QuestTracker... moving it 'works'... but even if I track a bunch of quests, then set it to allow moving... it stays tiny only showing either 1 or 2 quests to track at a time. Ugh, I can see this new QuestTracker being a bit of a pain. Is there by chance a way you can set a size to that tracker?

I simply added WatchFrame:SetHeight(500) to line 7 of the position LUA, no more running it every time.
