273 - 5.4 using arrows to scroll through recently sent messages

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.send a message to a channel
2.press enter to type another message
3.press the up/down arrow to scroll through recently sent messages

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
before 5.4, scrolling with the arrows allowed you to quickly access previously sent messages to resend them. the issue began after 5.4 where scrolling through previously sent messages with the arrows no longer works.

What version of the product are you using?
the most recent file on curse: 1.4.4

Do you have an error log of what happened?
no

    Fix by using the workaround from http://www.wowace.com/addons/crappychatfix/

    So, the name of this feature is 'Edit Box History' in Chatter settings.

    There seems to be an issue with this feature in 5.4, but I've figured out that if you hold Alt and use the arrow keys, you can scroll through your recent messages.
