- Channel colors remembered by name, rather than by number
- Scrolling your chat frames with the mouse wheel.
- Sticky channels, configurable
- Ability to copy a chat frame's contents to your clipboard
- Ability to copy URLs to your clipboard
- Ability to customize the background and border of your chat frames
- Timestamps
- A /tt command to send a tell to your target

Hey there, I was wondering if there is a way to disable highlights in specific channels. I love the highlight feature, but I don't want it popping up at me in a channel i don't care about because my keyword is part of a word someone said.

Since tickets are not currently being looked at, will point out ticket 220 here ("wrong hooking of ChatFrame_MessageEventHandler") (I assume that 4.0.6 has changed things a bit).

And a different problem in WoW 4.0.6 (only) I have experienced here: Chatter's ChatScroll.lua module is tainting.

Chatter v1.2.9-3-6-g77a2a26, the following shows up in taint.log:

    2/14 20:15:23.406 Global variable InterfaceOptionsSocialPanelChatMouseScroll_SetScrolling tainted by Ace3 - Interface\AddOns\Ace3\AceHook-3.0\AceHook-3.0.lua:245 hook() 2/14 20:15:23.406 Interface\AddOns\Ace3\AceHook-3.0\AceHook-3.0.lua:325 RawHook() 2/14 20:15:23.406 Interface\AddOns\Chatter\Modules\ChatScroll.lua:53 2/14 20:15:23.406 xpcall() 2/14 20:15:23.406 safecall Dispatcher[1]:9 2/14 20:15:23.406 Interface\AddOns\Ace3\AceAddon-3.0\AceAddon-3.0.lua:514 InitializeAddon() 2/14 20:15:23.406 Interface\AddOns\Ace3\AceAddon-3.0\AceAddon-3.0.lua:628

Variations on the last two errors above repeat many (many) times all at the same time, creating a taint.log 62kb in size.

Sorry to see this addon dying. Like it much better than Prat.

@creepy_inc: I hardly can imagine such issue.

    • Chat* logging done on the game level, addon only control if the game would log it or not.

The *combat* logging *potentially* could affect your game performance, if you're playing on seriously dated hardware. But that's out of this addon's discussion scope, as it does not control THAT setting.

This is my signature. There's many like it, but this one is mine.

Would chat logging have any impact on my game performance?

How do you increase the font size of the chat edit box text? It's too small for me as default. Can Chatter do this?

Is there an issue now with Chatter allowing the Chat Test Fading/Disappearing? I have deleted my Chatter files including the WTF files with no success in fixing this. The Disable Fading Module has no effect because the text never disappears or fades. Any ideas on this?

Feature Suggestion: Compressed money loot messages. For example, instead of: You loot 40 Silver, 45 Copper (2 Silver, 2 Copper deposited to guild bank) You could have: Looted 40s 45c (2s 2c guild)

I'd imagine I'm not the only one that would like this since the guild messages are so much longer than anything used to be. If you wanted to get fancy you could put little coin icons instead of the g, s, or c after the number, maybe make that a toggle-able option.
