This is still a work in progress. Understanding how CastYeller2 works CastYeller2 is designed around 3 items: the triggers, defined by source modules, that causes announces to be sent, the outputs, also called sinks, where announce are sent. the announces, that are bound to triggers and sent into the sinks. Template format Template formatting is based on variable substitutions. The following two substitutions are accepted : $VARNAME : is replaced by the variable content or deleted. [prefix${VARNAME}suffix] is replaced by the variable content surrounded by prefix and suffix. The whole substitution is deleted when the variable is undefined or blank. CastYeller2 allows the player to make chat announces in response to various game events. For each announce, the player defines : the names of spells, items and/or auras to watch, the events to watch (sources and triggers they propose), where to send the announce (outputs), optionally: per event custom announce templates.
