155 - Right Click doesn't work in original World or Warcraft Instances
Right click does not work in Pre-BC instances. Unable to distribute loot as loot master or right click on portraits to do things like follow or change group leader.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter an instance in Eastern Kingdoms or Kalamdor (stockades for instance)in a group.
2. Once inside the instance, attempt to change the group leader by right clicking on the players portrait and selecting promote to leader.
3.
What is the expected output? When right clicking on a player portrait a menu should appear that you can select from.
What do you see instead?
No menu appears.
What version of the product are you using?
Cartagrapher 2.5.4 (2.5.3 also had the problem and potentially earlier versions as well)
Do you have an error log of what happened?
no error is generated that i know of
Please provide any additional information below.
In a raid instance such as Zul Gurub you will be unable to distribute loot in a loot master setup so warn your users to disable this product before using loot master in old world instances. As far as I can tell this works fine in all instances in Northrend so nothing to worry about there.

Zidomo Fri, 02 Oct 2009 15:09:13Only QuestHelper? Nope. It happens without QuestHelper installed as well. It needs to be fixed; I haven't used Cartographer on my raiding toons for months due to this serious bug. And its not just pre-BC instances; have experienced it in Northrend raids & instances before finally disabling the mod for good.
According to the QuestHelper author: There's a bug in Cartographer where SetMapZoom() or SetMapToCurrentZone(), called in an instance, causes any open menus to instantly close. Questhelper (and in general, anything that uses Astrolabe, and other UI mods as well) call those function every frame if the map is closed. This isn't a performance problem or anything, but it happens to trigger the Cartographer bug.
The current QuestHelper versions have a hack workaround for this Cartographer bug. But no other mod does. In addition to anything that uses the Astrolabe library (which a ton of mods use), this bug appears when using the LibTourist-3.0 library (also which a ton of mods use, including Cartographer...heh), GatherMate, LightHeaded, Atlas, Analyst, DXE, Broker_Wintergrasper, Mountiful, _NPCScan, QuestGuru, SilverDragon, and on and on.
The bug really (really) needs to be fixed.

x87bliss Thu, 02 Jul 2009 22:02:11Edit: The problem seems to occur only if you have both Cartographer and QuestHelper installed. If you update QuestHelper to the newest version, this problem should be resolved.

DJTOMCAT Tue, 09 Jun 2009 21:46:01Same problem here, tooks me hours to find that the bug is in the InstanceMaps of Cartographer. Hope that preBC problem would be solved soon. I even cant rightclick in instances when Cartographer instancemaps is turned on, either i had to press "M" for Map and then i could rightclick my interface, but thats so......

kroko2005 Tue, 09 Jun 2009 14:28:40I have try a lot of thing to help you to dertermine the issue. When you disable cartographer it works perfectly. When you enable it, the menu in instance and raid cannot bring up. When you disable instance map in cartographer, there is no problem to do exchange, to change the leader of the group/raid... When you try to re-enable instance map, there is an error message (i don't remember the message) and you get a black "map". You only have on the map the place where the boss are nothing else (no real map just black window). I hope this cooud help.

emoryvincent Tue, 09 Jun 2009 10:31:18our entire guild (200 players) uses cartographer. we all have this same issue and it hurts to run a raid without cartographer running. we have noticed this issue happening in any raid group but it happens at random. more frequently so in a raid instance rather than world raid. quick resolution is appreciated before we all get sick of the issue and try to find a replacement.
*Update: a couple of guildies have done some troubleshooting and have narrowed it down to a conflict between questhelper and cartographer.
