karnmak Mon, 18 May 2009 11:09:40I've been looking into this and found some information that may help us resolve the issue. First off, as far as Cartographer is concerned, the issue only exists with the Instance Maps add-on. If you disable it, even without a reload, your menus will work again instantly. As such, if you then re-enable it, they stop working, also instantly. Secondly, I would like someone else to verify, but I am quite sure this problem only exists if you have QuestHelper installed, as well. The problem stems from the ShowInstanceFrame(), ShowInstance(), and ultimately, SetCurrentMapZone() functions. For some reason, QH, or at least the Astrolabe library included with QH, spams its GetCurrentPlayerPosition() function, which causes it to continuously call SetCurrentMapZone(). SetCurrentMapZone() is hooked by Instance Maps' CartographerInstanceFrame frame. WIM also uses Astrolabe, a modern revision, and does not spam the GetCurrentPlayerPosition() function, so perhaps QH needs to update it's version. I am not sure anything actually needs to be corrected with Cartographer's Instance Maps, however, ckknight can look into that further.
Recommended Solution: Disable Quest Helper, or disable Instance Maps, until someone else comes up with a solution.
[edit]Worth noting, menus will work in an instance if you right click while the map is open.[/edit]

june211950 Wed, 22 Apr 2009 19:27:20I've had the same problem while my Game character is inside any dungeon. Finally, I even removed 3 Cartographer_Instance files from Addons. It helped, cos it fixed the problem. However, I don't see dungeons' maps anymore, including Bosses location =(

drazuk Mon, 20 Apr 2009 17:31:14same thing here (: disabling the 3 "Instance" modules seems to fix this (I just disabled all three, didn't test any further than that, sorry (; ).
