Broker_Friends

This project is experimental.

This project is only experimental and may change drastically between now and when it comes out of experimental status. It may even be disapproved once that happens, worst-case.

Be forewarned before downloading anything from this project.

A simple broker display that displays in-game and RealID friends in a tooltip when hovered over.

Features:

  • Displays class-colored name, level, area and note/real name for your friends
  • Click on a character name on your realm/faction to whisper that character
  • Click on the real name of your RealID friends to send a RealID tell
  • Click on the icon to show/hide friends list

Todo before release:

  • Make it less ugly
  • Test various combinations of RealID friends playing other/multiple games
  • Test various broker displays

    A shame this is abandoned. Broker_Friends is a "true" successor to Elkano's FuBar_FriendsFu; it functions in a similar way (click name to whisper, etc.) & looks similar. But it uses the modern Ace3/LDB frameworks. Its also the only Broker friends list addon that uses 0 CPU on idle or otherwise. Finally, it works without issues in Cataclysm/WoW 4.2.

    If there are any upcoming WoW changes that break it, guess I'm going to have to GIT (sobs quietly).
