566 - Emphasize countdown on a per ability setting

The countdown feature has some cool uses but I think the fact that the setting is global holds back some of its use. For example it is nice to have an emphasized message that a dangerous spell is on you but it is not necessary to have a countdown occur every 20 seconds for each time the spell is cast when there is only a possibility of that spell to be on you. This really makes me want to turn off the countdown option while I would still like it on for other spells like a big raid wide spell.

A solution to this would be to have a countdown option as a sub-option to the emphasize ability option as well as/instead of the global option.

After trying the only on me option I feel it helps but only slightly and my original idea still has merit. The standard messages are fine 99% of the time but in the 1% when things get hectic and there a lot of other messages generated you can miss the really important debuff on you message that is why I like to have them emphasized so that doesn't happen. The only on me option only helps in that it reduces the other messages so you are more likely to see it but I still feel like the is the chance for it to be missed.

I'll admit I haven't really tried the only on me option, I'll play around with it.

Why not just use the "only on me" option without the emphasize?

My issue is that on some spells I want the emphasized message that the spell is on me but I don't want the countdown for every time the spell is about to be cast.

I'm pretty confused by what you said. Emphasize counts down bars and upper-cases messages. If you don't want the count down, don't emphasize? You can't tell who the spell is on until it's cast, so if you know it'll always hit you, just emphasize, otherwise don't?
