BigWigs Bossmods

329 - Doesn't load on random Cata raid bosses

What steps will reproduce the problem?
The problem is completely random.  BigWigs doesn't load on a boss sometimes.  It will be great all night than nothing comes up on the next boss but will work on the one after that.  For ex. worked on Cho'Gall last night  next fight Magmaw didnt work but last week no problems with loading for Magmaw.

What version of the Big Wigs are you using?
r8314-release

Do you have an error log of what happened?
No...it produces no error log

Please provide any additional information below.
Your boss mod is superior to DBM in so may different ways but because of this my raid leader wants me to use DBM.  If it happens again most likely he'll insist.  I just can't stand to go back to that cluttered confusion of overkill information that is DBM.  Not mention givng up the raid proximity...one fo the all time greatest add on innovations ever.  Please let me know if you aware of this, if it you can fix it, or if there is something I can do. Thanks.

@mojosdojo you mean trigger an enable module addon message.

@gcoupe, as stated. If you're the only person in your raid using BW, you will need to mouseover a boss before pull. You can check if a boss module is enabled by mousing over the minimap icon. The boss name should be listed there.

This is mostly true. The more users have BW in a raid, the more likely it is to get a engage sync from one of them, when the boss is actually pulled. If you are the only one using BW, make sure you mouse over or target the boss first as mentioned. Other random annoyance: Raidleader or promoted user using really old versions which results in bad or no sync. Also try hard-resetting the module right before the pull by clicking on the BW LDB or minimap icon.

are you targeting boss before pull? bigwigs uses load on demand in such a way that if you aren't or someone else running bigswigs doesnt, could be problems. DBM loads ENTIRE mod on zone in. Bigwigs, focusing on efficency loads each individual encounter on boss target (at least as far as i can see that's still true). are you purhaps a healer that goes into a pull with a tank targeted and not boss? Also sounds like you're in a raid that primarily uses DBM which limits bigwigs functionality to a degree with enable/pull detection too i imagine. Boss mods communicate but bigwigs isn't gonna communicate with DBM, so it's more reason why YOU have to target the boss before pulling it.
