One of the most important features of AtlasLoot are handmade loot tables though. I just don't see any sense in wowhead drop rates that are imho not accurate or don't have a good enough sample. If you have a good suggestion how we should handle raid drop rates I am very open. But "just use wowhead" isn't gonna do it for me. Sry :P

Hegarol Jan 28, 2011 at 05:51 UTC - 0 likesIts not possible to view complete loot tables of a boss on the WoWArmory. You can only view single items. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/item/59492 Not sure whats going but it has two drop rates listed.
To sum it up: 1. There is no reliable source for drop rates. 2. It takes way too much time to collect all the drop rates. Time we currently don't have or would rather spend on other aspects of the addon.
You are very welcome to help us implement raid drop rates if you can come up with a practical way to do it. Personally I have no idea how to do it (in a timely way anyway)

Hegarol Jan 28, 2011 at 01:46 UTC - 0 likesI see.
Lets take Magmaw (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=41570) for an example. We only have 82 kills listed on wowhead. That sample is way too small to come up with nearly correct drop rates. Another problem is that there seems to be different drop rates for 10 and 25 Man. How should we handle that? We only have one loot table.

Hegarol Jan 27, 2011 at 20:14 UTC - 0 likesPersonally I am not a huge fan of drop rates. We will add it at some point but its not a huge priority. Anyway if you look at wowhead and the drop rate in heroic instances you will see that all items have the same drop chance: http://www.wowhead.com/npc=43438#drops:mode=heroic Can you give me some good reasons why we need drop rates immediately? ^^
