  • '/atlasloot options' brings up the options menu. (NYI)
  • '/atlasloot reset' resets the last viewed loot table (fixes disconnects when opening AtlasLoot) and moves all draggable frames back to the middle of the screen.

History

AtlasLoot was originally created by Pernicius as a plugin for Atlas and contained a handful of raid loot tables to browse. Unfortunately, Pernicius was unable to maintain the mod, so Daviesh took over and renamed it to AtlasLoot Enhanced to provide a distinction between the two versions. Since that time, AtlasLoot has grown to cover every loot table for every boss, every item set, PvP Items and items for every reputation faction. In January 2010 Hegarol took over the project from Daviesh.

    All the 346 and 359 gear is still being listed in the addon, when in fact you can't get them anymore (who would want to anyways if you could :P)

    Ah I didn't notice you responded to my ticket, is there anyway you can put them in another section to reduce the clutter for the older gear?

    Kinda curious as to why my ticket was declined about JP section showing pre-4.3?

    Just to add to all that has been said up to now. In its current state, when I exit the game, AtlasLoot creates a 60k file (AtlasLoot.lua) in my Account \ SavedVariables folder and crashes the game.

    This will happen only if I try to open Atlas (which in turn uses AtlasLoot) or StandAlone AtlasLoot through the mini-map button. The error is triggered at this moment and I crash everytime upon exiting.

    When I try to open it through Atlas, I get the error when I press the Atlas button on the mini-map, I close the error window and Atlas will continue to function normally and I still can see the loot of the bosses... What I don't see after the error is the AtlasLoot Panel at the bottom of Atlas, the AtlasLoot version on top of the Atlas window and the button to access AtlasLoot options through Atlas.

    If I have not tried to open Atlas or AtlasLoot in my game session, I exit normally.

    I tried Drashnar replacement for line 32 in DefaultFrame.lua and everything is now back to normal.

    I haven't tried to load the game with this 60k file in my SavedVariables folder... I always deleted it beforehand. Because of this, I'm not sure if it not preferable to ask people to look if they have such a file in their SavedVariables and if a deletion is in order to avoid potential problem with subsequent loads of the addon.

    Thanks for this wonderful addon.

    From the recount thread, hope it helps get the problem solved. :)

    The problem is completely with AtlasLoot Enhanced. It's in AtlasLoot/Modules/DefaultFrame.lua line 32:

    It currently reads:

    point = {"CENTER", UIParent, "CENTER"}

    Which causes the whole tree of regions to be included in the default generation of the saved variables. To fix the problem I have replaced the line with:

    point = {"CENTER"}

    This problem incidentally has nothing to do with Recount, and any addon that creates sufficient numbers of frames or references in a frame table will create a recursive savedvariable file that will crash. References to regions should never be stored in the savedvariables table.

    It almost seems like a latent issue in Ace3 (+4.2).

    [Edit: I was, of course, wrong.]

    This is the response given by Recount's author:

    Recount has not changed, AtlasLoot has. I have no indication at all that this is a Recount-induced issue, but if there is any evidence at all that this is Recount's fault and not AtlasLoot's, I'll be happy to look into it. For now I will argue that it clearly has to be a change made by AtlasLoot causing the issue, so please address AtlasLoot's author.

    There is now a 4.2 release version of Recount and it's still not compatible with AtlasLoot. If you have both enabled, AL does not work correctly and the game will crash if you try to log out. You can use one or the other, but not both.

    @Hegarol: Go

    Further testing, with my warlock: after disabling TomTom and Archy, no further mod is specifically named in the error code that bugsack catches, instead the AceDB-3.0 itself. Btw, getting the error and then trying to logout or /reload ui results in crashing to desktop with the wow client closed. The file AtlasLoot.lua in folder SavedVariables gets corrupted after the error, meaning the file grows too big and there are too many syntax levels (that's what bugsack says). Unfortunately I have 0/525 LUA editing, so I really don't know what exactly is causing this and who is "responsible" for a fix.

    @Pakka Ok we will further investigate this. Thx for your report. Recount does not have a 4.2 release version, only alpha versions. I don't count them.
