Customizable unit frame addon.
- How to configure the unit frames in 3.0
Press "esc" to open the options menu.
Press the "Interface" button.
In the interface options window, press the "AddOns" tab.
Select "AG Units" from the tree of available addons.
Press the "Open AG Units Options" button. This will open the AG Unit Frames options window.
(Alternatively, you can write "/aguf" in the chat.)
- Latest update
Hi guys,
I know there's still some things missing, like layouts for example.
I would have loved to keep the old version of AG Unit Frames up until I thought the new version was 100% ready, but 3.0 came out, so I had to put the new version up. The old version not compatible with 3.0.
That said, I feel that the new AG Unit Frames is much lighter than the old one, while being easier to configure, contains more modern features and so on. As soon as the glitches in the wake of 3.0 is smoothed out, I'm sure many of you are going to be pretty happy with it.
Regarding the missing layouts, the layout system was completely changed, which makes the old layouts incompatible. It is much better and dynamic now and allows for a lot more customization, It is unfortunate that I haven't had time to rewrite some of the old layouts like "classic". I really plan to.
I hope this answers some of your questions!
- Issues
There is a problem where party members won't be created correctly if they join while you're in combat. This is a bug in the Blizzard interface code and won't be fixed until they release a new patch. This affects all unit frame addons.

Northern49 Tue, 24 Feb 2009 06:51:37I'm not sure why, but I'm having a problem figuring out how to display party's vehicle. This is a problem for the Malygos encounter on phase 3 as I can't see the drakes' health and energy bars. I have managed to see my own, but not the raids'. This is especially a problem because I am a healer and thus am a healer as a dragon as well, and need to see these health bars to be able to do so.
I suspect it's because they appear as pets, and because it is a raid and I have party frames hidden in raid they too are disabled along with my party's bars.
How can I see the raid's pets? Is this possible? So far I've only seen party pets and haven't figured out how to see raid pets. I'd love it if this was added in a future version of AG_Units as a separate unit, or that vehicle health and energy bars automatically overwrite the driving player's health and energy bars so long as he is mounted on one.

hova Thu, 19 Feb 2009 23:29:34From a rogue's pov it would be nice to have an option so that the most recent debuff that you have applied shows up on the right. It would make it easier to spot the debuff that needs to be tracked during the fight. Also the combo points are pretty hard to see if you have buffs/debuffs set below the frame.

rubendogs Thu, 19 Feb 2009 16:27:34I've always loved ag_Unitframes, but havn't been able to use it since I started using the focus target system in WoW.
While AG is running, if I try to set a focus target, I receive an error that reads something like "ag_unitframes has tried to perform and action that is not allowed to be used by addons. You can cancel, or disable the addon and refresh the UI."
Talk about sadface.

Rhino2 Thu, 19 Feb 2009 02:38:03Updated to R.688 from R.686 and lost the ability to set my bar texture to 'Steel' from the Surfaces texture library, not sure if the toc tweaks had anything to do with that or not, small thing, but I do enjoy that bar texture, went back to R.686
Edit: In hindsite I'm going to try just adding the Steel.tga from surfaces to the images folder of AG and see if that works.
Edit 2: It didn't, and going back to R.686 isn't bringing it back in the options either, don't know what else to do at this point.

reeks Wed, 18 Feb 2009 12:35:38As Vlood says "i believe this to be one of the cleanest and most optimized unit frames addon at the moment". Couldn't have worded it better.
The *only* thing that has been an irritation to me has been the colors changing according to health percentage (if not set as "class color"). With the lack of any checkbox that I could find to turn off gradient changes, manually editing the healthbar.lua Line number 254 to:
Fixes that pet peeve perfectly for me :)
It's an incredibly minor thing, I just find it distracting to have every colour of the rainbow, or gradient disco frames in the party. I only share it here because it's an easy fix for the possibly handful of others, rather than pester you for updates.
EDIT: Scratch that, my tip doesn't work fully. The health colours get stuck occasionally. Note to self: Don't try and be clever

Domou Tue, 03 Feb 2009 00:38:59I've got a problem trying to enable the portrait in ag_uf. I've been told to open the config panel, extend Unit Frames, click on Player, then the portrait tab. However there is no portrait tab for me to click on.. can anyone give me insight into why?

vlood Sun, 01 Feb 2009 16:04:28i believe this to be one of the cleanest and most optimized unit frames addon at the moment , but it lacks a major feature , filtering DOT's so only your own are being shown , it is very important and all the other unit frames have it , do you think you can implement this ? (larger aura icons would be sweet aslo)
