  • Latest update

Hi guys,

I know there's still some things missing, like layouts for example.

I would have loved to keep the old version of AG Unit Frames up until I thought the new version was 100% ready, but 3.0 came out, so I had to put the new version up. The old version not compatible with 3.0.

That said, I feel that the new AG Unit Frames is much lighter than the old one, while being easier to configure, contains more modern features and so on. As soon as the glitches in the wake of 3.0 is smoothed out, I'm sure many of you are going to be pretty happy with it.

Regarding the missing layouts, the layout system was completely changed, which makes the old layouts incompatible. It is much better and dynamic now and allows for a lot more customization, It is unfortunate that I haven't had time to rewrite some of the old layouts like "classic". I really plan to.

I hope this answers some of your questions!

  • Issues

There is a problem where party members won't be created correctly if they join while you're in combat. This is a bug in the Blizzard interface code and won't be fixed until they release a new patch. This affects all unit frame addons.

I for one thank you for all your hard work and time spent andreasg You have done an amazing job in so short a time to have it out and working as well as it does while there are still a few bugs you are ironing them out.

Love the addon, but I used to have this other layout. Now, thats not much of a problem, however I want to ask if there is any way that I can remove the "background" of my HP/energy bar to be complete black? As in, when you loose HP, you still have a weak yellow-ish color as background rather then just plain dark.

I've looked around abit in some .lua's but cant seem to find it.

The user can control width and hight, and your layout must fit to the frame. I haven't had time to load up your layout and see what you do though.

Do you think the party frame backdrops are malformed due to .initial settings?

I created a layout but can't get an empty bar to show up. Guessing a module has to be done, so I will start fumbling with that.

Pitbull had pitbull_fullbar that was perfect for doing this, but I have yet to figure out how to do that here.. time to start reading the module and see what i can figure out

Crissa, a good place to start would be copying ABF.lua in the layout dir and modifying it. Experiment a bit and feel free to ask me if any questions pop up.

You could either create a new layout with blank space, or you could create a module that creates a blank bar.

In this case I suggest creating a blank bar module, as it sounds like you like how the ABF layout is, you just want a bar to put some strings on.

If I want to create a new bar, blank or whatever.. do I need to edit the module file to make that bar available or just edit the layout file with a new bar named anything i want?

I want a bar over the HP bar that just has info like name, lvl, the icons, etc and anytime i try to add one in the layout it errors on me, so I'm guessing it has to be added elsewhere also. yes, i suck at lua

Hey, do you have a sample layout or a layout creation faq?

I'd like to make a layout a bit more like the original Warcraft one.
