AdiBags

167 - Item lvls showing on gear in bank and bags

What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?
it would be nice to  have adibags show the item levels of gear in your bags and bank like this addon does http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info21375-InventoryItemLevels.html  i have tried using the addon but since adibags changes the bags so much it does not work. maybe put an option for it like a check box for bags and a check box for bank to turn it on or off
Please provide any additional information below.

Ok, so I'm trying this, but I'm not sure it is worth something :

    • The level of non-equipment are shown in white.
    • If player is at maximum level, use a color gradient using the color scheme of item quality (uncommon, rare, epic, legendary) for itemlevels inside the itemlevel brackets for that player level, e.g. itemlevels 458-541 for level 90. If the itemlevel is below the minimal value, the text is gray (poor quality).
    • If player is below maximum level, compare the item required level to the player level and use the color scheme of quest difficulty. If there is no required level for the item, display it in white.

The last point may cause some difficulty with some quest rewards. Maybe should I map item levels to required player levels, as you suggested.

Note : this is optional, the initial color scheme is still available through the options.

I carried the level brackets from InventoryItemLevels, which is fixed for level 90. Your suggestion makes more sense, but I'm not sure how to implement it.

What about using the required level instead of the itemlevel until the toon reachs max level ? Once at max level, it could use an itemlevel range. Providing ilvl ranges for 60, 70, 80, 85 and 90 should be sufficient (see below). Color would goes from red for low level-items to blue for high-level items.

    Level : ilvl range
    60 : 66-92
    70 : 100-164
    80 : 187-284
    85 : 333-416
    90 : 458-541

    Any thought ?

I don't understand the coloring scheme you've elected to use for the item level module. Can you use the difficulty colors Blizzard uses and base the item level difficulty off of the viable items available to the character at their current level? I'll help compile the iLvl ranges for each level if you'd like.

I've given a look at InventoryItemLevels. Unfortunately, the code isn't clean enough to plug AdiBags in. I've added a new module that display the item level of equippable items in latest alpha.

I'd be willing to try my hand at implementing this, but I'm not sure if it's possible in a 'plugin?' Does it need to be in core AdiBags code? The most promising place I found in the code to add it would be in widgets/ItemButton.lua, but I'm not sure how to go about it...
